The Palace Project is the new app for accessing the eRead Illinois digital collection of eBooks and audiobooks (replacing Boundless). The Palace Project's eRead Illinois collection is launching in early December 2025, but your patience is appreciated as integration issues are addressed and new features are added. Palace is compatible with Apple and Android devices, but there is no desktop access and it does not work with Amazon Kindles. Download the app for free for Apple or Android devices in the app stores. Log in using your library card and PIN number to access thousands of titles to check out and enjoy on your phones and devices.

With Palace, you’ll have access to your library’s OverDrive, Baker & Taylor, BiblioBoard, and Bibliotheca collections, in addition to titles purchased in the Palace Marketplace and thousands of open liscenced titles on the Palace Bookshelf that have no checkout limits. You may still use the Libby app to access your library's OverDrive collection. Hoopla's digital collection will not be available through the Palace app.
