FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK SALE

There’s a BIG book sale coming to the library, organized by the Friends of the Library. Dates: Friday, June 21, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 22, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Set-up for the sale will be on Thursday, June 20.

The Friends will gladly accept donations of gently used hardback and paperback books, CDs, and DVDs for the sale any time before June 20. Please bring donations to the library. The sale will be held in the Ray & Dorothy Sitton Conference Room on the library’s 1st floor.

Hardback books will sell for $1.00—paperbacks, 50 cents, with CDs and DVDs to be announced. If there are mint-condition, “high end” items, they will be priced accordingly. Under any circumstances, the sale will be a bargain!

Volunteers—whether dues-paying members of the Friends or otherwise—are needed for sorting items, setting up, and staffing the sale. This is a terrific opportunity for folks to work together on the library’s behalf—in this busy world, a short-term commitment with great gratification all ‘round! Proceeds will benefit the Friends and its support of the library.
To volunteer to help with the sale, call Leanne Sanders, Friends president, at 697-8380 now!
