GET IN THE GAME: READ KICKOFF
Tuesday, June 3rd; 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Kick off a great summer adventure by signing up for the summer reading program at Alpha Park Library! Registration begins on Tuesday, June 5th at 1:00 p.m. and the program runs until July 28th at 1:00 p.m. (No registration will be allowed before Tuesday at 1:00!) The kickoff party is a great time to get signed up, get all the program info and enjoy snacks, games and face painting! This six-week program is going to be an adventure for readers of all ages (3 yrs. through adult). Get signed up right away so you don’t miss any of the fun!

TEEN BOARD       
Thursday, June 5th; 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Looking to have some fun, meet new friends, and become more active in your community? Join Alpha Park Library’s Teen Board! The Teen Board plans library events exclusively for teens and gives library staff input on library materials geared toward teens! Teen Board members must be in 7th through 12th Grades and have an Alpha Park Library Card. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. If you have missed out, show up at the next meeting or call Youth Services at 697-3822, ext. 14.

FISHING CLINIC
Tuesday, June 10th; 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Sponsored in part by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, third through sixth graders will learn unique characteristics about fish and other wildlife in our native ecosystem, how to cast and even spend some time fishing with a pro at the pond behind the library. *Special thanks to the Peoria Police Benevolent Association for use of their property*

MUNCH-A-LUNCH

Readers of all ages are invited to join the Munch-A-Lunch bunch! Invite your friends to grab a sack lunch and meet you at the library. We will eat, chat, and enjoy stories with special guest readers each week!

MAKE-IT, TAKE-IT
Monday, June 16th; 1:00-6:00 p.m.
Children ages 4 through 4th grade along with their parents or caregivers are invited to make a special craft in the Youth Services Department anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Parental assistance required. No drop-offs, please! There will be NO Make-It/Take-It in May.

TRADING CARD COLLECTOR’S EVENT
Thursday, June 19th; 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Do you collect Pokémon? WoW? Baseball Cards? Magic: the Gathering? Pack up your cards and come to the library for a swap and share event. Show off your collection and trade with friends. Card collectors of all kinds are welcome.

FENCING DEMO
Thursday, June 26th; 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Peoria Fencing Academy will be here showing off their amazing fencing skills. All ages are welcome to learn about fencing for sport, fencing equipment, and to see fencing in action.
